Ballistic Eye Protection - an affordable solution.

Recommended Posts

If anybody wants quality but affordable eye protection you could do a lot worse than these:

The 'Revision Sawfly Ballistic Glasses' are now appearing on eBay as unused surplus for about £25, think they retail new at £65. 3 different lenses clear, yellow and dark and very very tough hitting all the required safety standards. They have been instrumental in reducing blast injuries leading to sight loss in Afghanistan and are issued to all UK, Danish and most US troops. The manufacturers reckon they'll defeat a shotgun blast at 5m!

I reckon if you're lucky you'll find the squaddies who have worked out that under the H&S at Work act you can't be charged for loosing or breaking PPE and will be flogging his unused second pair for emergency beer money at the end of the month.

The ones I've seen on eBay are government surplus that have never been issued so therefore brand new and in packaging. I think the going rate is about £25. Seems a good deal to me for quality of the product!

If you google them you can find some interesting YouTube clips.
