Al69ec
I'm after some advice please guys. I'm applying fo my fac in the next week or 2. Have my land sorted and my references... I'm stuck as to what calibre of rifle to apply for. My quarry will be the usual ground game, fox, roe, and corvids. I was thinkin .17 hmr and a .243 would these be adequate for my needs? Thanks
iain
Not a bad choice, I'd put in for a .22 centre fire as well and mods for everything. Always ask for more than you need. That way you have some spare slots for a growing collection.
steve_b_wales
Depending on your police force, you may not get a .243 on a first time application for FAC. South Wales police will only issue .22cf, eg .222, .223 and occasionaly .22-250. But it's worth asking.
mickmep
as it doesn't cost any more i'd be inclined to add a few to your list, you can always use the slots for free variations later. i'd be inclined to apply for what you're asking for and a couple of .22 lr's (i got one for day use and one for dedicated nv) and fac air, as above all with mods.
