JJsDad
I think you will find they are hard anodized and dyed black. Very specialized job, and the existing coating would need stripping off before re-anodizing. You would need to seek specialist advice because when the old coating is stripped you could lose half a thou or so of material. You can buy blacking solutions from Birchwood Casey for aluminium. But chances are you will get an uneven finish if you are just touching up areas of wear. In your shoes I would seek advice from a practical Gunsmith Paint and aluminium alloy don`t get on well together adhesion wise unless you use an etch primer. byjovecarruthers
I slipped my Beretta S/A whilst it was slightly damp and with some Pigeon blood on the barrel. 18 hours later (after a night shift) when I got it out to clean it and put it away I was devastated to find that the barrel was a total mess with pits down to bare metal where the blood had been. Note to self, be more diligent with firearms care! I was considering trying to reblue it myself when a mate told me to try Manchester Air Guns on Oldham Rd. The chap who owns it, i cant remember his name, did an awesome job for about £45. It looked better than the day it left the factory. I'd recommend giving them a call, the numbers on the t'interweb. Hope this helps.

byjovecarruthers
Colin. Of course, I'm so bad at names. That's who I would've asked about the alloy receiver. Hope you get it sorted mate.
