nicholiath
Anyone used these primers with hornet? Any good please?
kent
Well recommended but I found them of rubbish quality, some were too tight a fit and SD was not good. I think they get recommended by many for their soft cup in relation to other brands, a plus if you have a weak striking pin.
Amazed
I have a few hundred for load testing. Haven't seen anything to say anything bad about them. The 6 1/2 primers seem to give better results so far. Karl.
casts_by_fly
kent, you might be thinking about the 6 1/2 Rems (standard small rifle). The Rem 7 1/2 BR have hard cups and are known for NOT puncturing, even with hot loads. That was part of the reason I chose them when loading for the Encore (a pierced primer in the encore is a different ballgame compared to a bolt action). thanks, rick
204 rem
nicholiath We've been use remington 71/2 primers and we have never had any problem with them So far we did try small rifle primers first But found the 71/2 primer is better .....rem

Anyhow I am off all things Gremlington these days Bar their nitro steel shotgun shells which are very good.
