Recoil= yes. It's a springer.

Weight= heavy solid build.

Handling= depends on your build and gun fit.

Noise= With a silencer fitted to cut down on the crack they are good. All you get is the action noise.

If you are not sure try one before you buy.

i know it has recoil snakebite, but i mean is it minor? is there allot of vibration/twang?

are they the same or more versatile than a 97k when it comes to tunning?

anyone?

It is a Weirauch so it will have the controlable recoil rather than a "twang". The weight of the gun means it is absorbed easier than a lighter gun. The quality of the gun means no vibration.

It is of the same quality as a 97, just a different model.

Any Wacker can be tuned to make a good gun a brilliant gun. First stop Venom.

ello... ive just bought one 2nd hand carbine and only used it a couple of times but its great ;) little recoil and i like the weight of it nice and solid . before this i had i feinwerkbau 127 which seemed very twangy compared to the 77k ........ hope that makes sense as im not an airgun person ..more shottie

These are legendary, solid, chunky guns which are extremely accurate and respond well to tuning. The open sights are under-rated - most people take 'em off but I think a 77 would make a very good open sighted rifle. Not putting a scope on it would keep the weight down a bit. It would have lovely lines.

Recoil was fine - very predictable,

The gun was no noisier than any other springer and in many ways less noisy. The trigger is first class IMHO.

I had one for a few years (.177 lovely bit of wood) and it was excellent. I wore out one mainspring with the number of shots I put through it, but nothing else went amiss. I'd have another. Doesn't the HW97 (updated version) come with a moderator to dampen the sound ? I'd still consider the 77 though as I don't know whether the HW97 comes with open sights.

I'm a big fan.
