what ft lb

Recommended Posts

one for the expert's

after reading post on fox cartridge's i was wondering these cartridge's with AAA or ssg what weight are the individual shot and what sort of ft lb would one have,

if a ssg weighs something like a 40gr lr round and they are leaving the shotgun at 1200 fps ish then it must be like shooting a dozen or so lr rounds at once,

and then would they ricochet like an lr

just curious

I don't think there is weight for each shot, but look at the graph and hover mouse over the plotted points (I think from memory) and it gives energy at different distances. Add up how many pellets per cartridge for total muzzle energy. Probably about 2000 ft lb from memory.

In theory, it don't always work out so neat and even in practice. Academic really coz the pattern at 80 yards will make a vitals shot a matter of fluke
