johnny
I seem to be having trouble foxing in that they don't seem interested in any of calls I use. We tend to ride about the stubbles at the moment lamping as we go. When we spot a fox we take the lamp off it and if it out of range have a call then look with the lamp again to see what it's doing and 9/10 it's just gong about its business taking no interest this goes on till its gone where ever it was going. We have tried different calls but nothings working. We have shot 4 this week but these have all been in range when first spotted. Any ideas Cheers john

The Essex Hunter
They are after mice at the moment....the 13 we have shot this week only 4 came to a call, I use the truck over the stubbles to get down wind and then go on foot off sticks. %90 of the time they are to busy hunting, also a lot of this years foxes have not seen a lamp.... The truck is a bonus this time of the year but on foot is far quieter... TEH

I probably shoot 90% of my foxes after walking into them, we use a truck on the road/tracks see them then walk into them If they are still goin about their business when we get within range I don't even bother squeaking just knock them over when a safe and humane shot presents, Well worth trying especially at this time of year when the young ones are not as wise and not as quick to try and wind you Happy hunting
