Cheers Andy Hi Andy, I use extra hide poles when its windy and don't make a big hide, try to keep it up against a hedge if possible, a few cut pieces of wood to make some kind of pegs to keep the hide netting against the floor..im sure if its windy it will make for some testing shots.. have a good day mate. eccles
Evening all I'm planning on going out on the crows tomorrow and the forecast is pants :( strong winds and rain! Are there any tips or tricks to help with decoying the birds and how to keep the hide from collapsing! Cheers Andy Having seen your hide, you got no chance of it staying put. They decoy the same Andy but will usually come in into the wind. Give them plenty of lead if they got the wind up their backside. I'd be out tomorrow to but got our local foxhound, terrier, etc show. Went for a look yesterday where we shot other day,not a lot on them fields. Seen a few flying across the main rd. Went to see they where on the field of my mates that i said had cut that mixed crop, bloody hundreds of crows. So will be on them on Monday.atb Terry Edited August 17, 2013 by eccles
.philmypower.
As already said andy they will land into the wind. On Wendy days I attach a few guide ropes to my poles.
