pigeonslayer15
Hi all, on a couple of fields I shoot on theres always at the same time every year geese passing over them to a pond across the road from my perm, these fields are wheat at the moment and will be cut in the next week or so, the question is if these fields are left long enough as stubble do you think I would be able to decoy the geese on to them? Ive got got 12 decoys with 8 feeders and 4 sentry, will that be enough to catch thier attention? Theres quite a lot of duck passing 2, ive heard they will come into a spread of geese decoys is that true or will I have to put in some duck decoys aswell? Any info would be helpfull thanks John
Penelope
Yes and no harm in placing a few duck decoys out either if they are present. 12 decoys will be plenty. Geese will generally flight in in the morning and duck in the evening, although not always the case and quite often Canadas (I assume they are Canadas) will flight to feed in the afternoon/evening on to stubbles. BLACK
A few young mallard lighted in to my pattern yesterday evening. They seemed to be attracted by the flapper, landing right beside it. Is this a common occurrence?
