Any mackerel showing in North West?

I fancy a day out with the wife mackerel bashing towards the end of the week (Weather permitting).

Does anyone know if there are any reasonable numbers of mackerel showing around the North West or North Wales for beech, rock or pier fishermen please and if so what is the best spot?

I don't know about North Wales, but South and West Wales have had mackerel for a good while now so I would have thought with the warm weather we've had they will be everywhere by now. Have a cast, it's the easiest way to find out and even if you don't catch anything it's still a nice day out. Might even bump into a bass.

Thanks for that mate. I haven't been sea fishing for a few years and just fancy a day or so out with the wife - I get a bit of pleasure and she gets a well earned rest and change of scenery.

I guess you're right, just get out there and have a few casts, there's nothing to loose and everything to gain.

I was thinking about somewhere like North Wales, maybe Llandudno or Bangor. If there is anyone from around there a little "up to date info" would be appreciated.

was catching mackeral off pwhellie beach me and couple of mates and the locals 4 weeks back and some school bass, at times the sea was boiling with them as they came across whitebait. Take the barbie frienchie
