There's a franchi 612 semi (sporter) for sale at my local gun shop it has 30 inch barrels ( one of the things that is putting me off) has anyone had any experience of one of these? Also would getting a shorter barrel be as simple as buying a shorter barrel to fit the gun? Or would i be better off asking the shop if they sell new franchi auto's as this is the only one i've seen on sale there before ( they sell all other gmk products)

I have one mate, they are cracking guns for the money, and trust me mine has out shot many gun snobs on the clay range :lol: excellent hide/pigeon guns too and cycle all shells  never misses a beat to be honest, how much is he asking?

I used to have the 612 reverpress it even cycled 21g clay loads with ease . You can turn the piston around for heavy and light loads. It was a fantastic gun . The only reason I sold it was to fund a rifle .

£500 sounds a little steep if he's had it in a while offer him £400 and haggle away

Yep 612vs reverpress :good: £500 seems a bit top heavy,i paid £300 for mine but it was very dirty, soon cleaned up by myself and turbo33 and the condition was good :good: hardly ever come up for sale secondhand,i guess most people keep hold of them, they are made by Benelli(I think) and good working/lightweight guns  if you can get him down to £350/£400 I reckon you have yourself a bargain  BB
