Mr pigeon Posted September 8, 2013 Report Share Posted September 8, 2013 Hi guys, I have just bought some second hand partridge pen sections, enough for a pen either, 20ft x 30ft or Two pens, one 10ft x 10ft and one 20ft x 10ft My question is how many red legged partridge do you guys put in pens these sizes? scotslad Posted September 8, 2013 Report Share Posted September 8, 2013 Will also depend on how much cover u've got as well as how long u leave them in for, but fb is spot on, i usually put 40-50 in a 20x10 but some are usually released within a few days to a week and keep releasing small mumbers from then on When u get up to 30+ ft long do u hang some shade cloth/dividing material in the middle to stop birds flyinhg the length of pen and hurting themselves when hit wire, never had pens that long but see it done on bigger shoots Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
