starlight32
Mirror mirror on the wall what is the hardest hitting of them all? Any opinions out there guys? Most of us use 32g for woodies it seems so we will use that load as the benchmark. The ones for me are victory starlights, they are the nearest I could find which resemble civil war cannon!! I took them over from westerns when they stopped making them. Anyone agree? Or whats your preference?

lurcherboy
I read an article a few years ago in the CW and they were debating the 100yard cart. They are not available here, and it wasn't the 1st April, but appently are shotties aren't proofed for the charge. If anyone has read this article please expand on it. It is no good having 32grms if it cannot throw a consistent pattern. I have gone down to 28grms 6’s for pigeon and found that my kill to hit ratio has improved. Tiercel. Finnclassic
If you want a long distance hitter then turn to the Eley FITASC 6.5 clay cartridge. I use them on rabbits and they are devastating out to 50 yards. 1600ft/sec they reckon. The Hull Fitasc is just as fast but I havent tried them for game. I know they arent approved of as they hard shot, but I can assure you first hand they work.
