peek-at
I bought the 13"-27" Deben (tilt base) with a tensioning lever for £84.95 from my local dealer. They also deal on ebay click although I think they are out of stock at present. Upon fitting it was immediately noticeable how well built it was. Deben have apparently just uprated the spings and the lad in the shop says that I will find it will stay stable and support the weight even when pushing rifle forward and partially collapsing legs. I fitted the bipod and gave it a try and right enough it was very stable even when pushing far enough forward to be in a comfortable prone position. So in summary I have a bipod that fits my needs. Comfortable prone AND at sitting height. Im very pleased with it and would recommend it to anyone

dadioles
I appreciate the fact that you said "not Harris" but I have just been through this exercise again on Friday after the nut came off a leg of my only bipod that isn't a Harris. It will be easy to fix and does not swivel but it is not up to the quality of my other bipods which are all Harris. Other than a stamp "made in china" there is no other identification on it. Even though this one will be easy to repair, I have taken the opportunity to buy a new bipod as I only had three shared between four guns and I really wanted another one that swivels. The size that suits me best is 9"-13" as I either shoot prone or off a bench of some sort. When standing I have a home made tripod arrangement and tend to use that most of all, it is very stable. I was perfectly open to the idea of buying something that isn't a Harris but after searching around I concluded that the extra expense was worth it. I too am not flushed with funds but more and more these days I find myself regretting it if I do not buy what I know to be good, even though it is expensive. In the end I have placed an order for a Harris 9-13 bipod with swivel and bought it from Blackpool Air Rifles. I have never dealt with them before so I hope they are a good supplier. The cost of the bipod was £88-95 but I did not buy from them because of the bipod, I was actually after a couple of Buffalo gun slips and theirs was the best price I found for the slips. The bipod bulked up the order. I just noticed there is a similar thread on the airgun section of these forums where one chap has had problems with his Deben. Deiseboy
I bought a blackhawk traverse 9-13 off optics planet for half the price of a harris delivered to my door and its great quality. I took off a harris non swivel and this is every bit as good, the traverse and swivel is handy and can be locked to different tensions with a lever.
