Alfieri
All, I took delivery of a winchester sxp waterfowl in camo yesterday. Very nice gun except it has a 3" magazine tube and not 3 1/2" so won't take two 3 1/2" shells. My local gunshop has sent it back and apparently there is now a recall on them. Advice is if you have just purchased one please check it will hold 2 x 31/2" carts in magazine or ring your gun shop to check.
kent
I think they are also chambered for the 3" not the 3 1/2" so check first on the barrel markings before firing one
Alfieri
After many phone calls from my local gunshop I can confirm the following; We were told the sxp needed to go back to browning and have a new magazine fitted (3 1/2" instead of the 3"), the parts were in this country so would get a turnaround within a week. After a lot of chasing they have finally admitted they need to be sent back to Belgium which after 5 days are still in uk. What makes it worse is that they couldn't tell me how long they would be before sending it back!!!! I have a refund now but I never even got so much as an apology for the inconvenience. Work Wear who I purchased the gun were more than helpfull and tried to sort out a SX3 at a discounted rate as a compromise but we're not offered a penny discount and will be weeks before any would be available! Got offered a Maxus with no discount!! Very disappointed with Browning as I have all Brownings (525 and waterfowl) but am very disappointed with their attitude towards a small gun shop trying to give a good service to its customers. Apologies all around from Work Wear and they are very embarrresed with the situation. So back to drawing board for me!!!!!!

Big issue with all distributors of firearms in uk though IMO, we might look to the Remington situation and see if that gets better or worse perhaps? Closed market you see with zero competition (very unhealthy)
