there not great, fairly accurate but are rubbish at cycling! you cant really get any fancy upgrade parts for them...

however with a 0.40" or 1mm shim begind the bolt group this solves the cycling problem pretty much!

have you looked at the M&P 15-22? i have one, and a few of my mates have to! they are great fun little rifles! never jam, very accurate! and best of all you can get hundreds of upgrade parts! all of the real AR-15 parts fit!

Another vote for the M&P 1522 - never goes wrong and you can bolt all sorts on - if that's what you like.

Did you have much trouble getting a variation for Taliban?

Personally I would recommend the M&P 15-22 or the SIG 522, both reliable rifles with plenty of spares and aftermarket backup.

Yes bit of trouble.

Yeh looked at sig , very nice.

Whats the m&p ?

Prepare yourself for an assault by the forums resident 'You must be a walt' brigade.

Never heard of walt ?

The British military slang term, "Walt", a shortened form of the name "Walter Mitty", refers to someone who has aspirations to become a soldier, but none of the necessary personal qualities. This slang can also refer to someone who poses as an (ex-)soldier but who isn't a soldier (serving or former), or who poses as something he isn't or wasn't, such as regular army soldiers who pose as Special Air Service (SAS) members. The term is sometimes used to describe individuals who participate in "wargames" such as Airsoft, paintball, military re-enactment, and millitaria/weapon collecting that do not recognize that what they do for a hobby does not compare to military service.[dubious discuss]

In his book on selection for the SAS, Andy McNab wrote that people who give away the fact that they want to be in the SAS for reasons of personal vanity are labelled as "Walter Mitties" and are quietly sent home.

Unfortunately there are a small group of people on this forum with the 'holier than thou' attitude that like to ridicule anyone who posts about handguns or AR clones, they have forgotten that some people shoot to have fun.
