tx4cabbie
Did wonder why only bulldog came up on a Google search. Ideal recommendation though, thanks.
saddler
Small write up about them here: http://www.fredshed.co.uk/bulldogtools.htm Need to study the ash handle options as I have a couple of Russian WW1 era e-tools that use a 1 3/8" dia wooden shaft. I may be able to get away with ordering one of the longer ash shafts of this dia. & halving it to have enough for each e-tool. A real PITA as the e-tools were not too expensive, just fettling them is going to add to this as I will also need rivets, etc. They'll be worth repairing as they are well built (aside from the cracks to the handles after 100 years)Guess they don't make things like they used to, only a century & the handles are bust!! saddler
Oh - the other website for them, this is the one I found last week: http://bulldoghandtools.co.uk/bulldog-tools/replacement-tool-handles.html At least a couple of scythe snaths & all the associated kit for scythes. Wish I'd know about them a while back as the old scythe I used to have was lovely & sharp but the handles on the snath were wrecked so it was terrible to use for too long as it caught the web of your hand due to loosening handles.
