big bad lindz
Hi, As both my shooting jackets are camo, I am looking for another jacket not in camo. Also I am not wanting to burst the bank. I have been looking at the Ridgeline Grizzle and Mallard jackets and also the HSF Sherpa and Selkirk jackets and I cant make my mind up. This jacket will be used mostly for walked up, stand 1, beat 1 shooting. I am looking for something a bit lighter in weight than what I have and the info available on these jackets I think meets what I want but cant make my mind up. So any feed back good or bad from guys who wear them would be appreciated. I have already had some feedback from crainfield but some more would be good. Cheers BBL
tomov
I've got a HSF Sherpa and a Ridgeline Roar (appreciate that this sin't the exact jacket you are looking at). The HSF one was fine for the money and warm / windproof. After 12 months the zip pulls started breaking but it's still a functional jacket. The Ridgeline is definitely better quality but I sweat like a pig in mine on warm days (stalking southern england) - it's just not very breathable despite the vent on the back. The flip side of this of course is that it's nice and warm sitting in a seat. I certainly wouldn't want to walk up a proper hill in it! It is definitely better made and finished than the HSF. WGD
No comparison. Ridgeline as a brand is in a different league. I bought one HSF jacket, it lasted one 1/2 hour training session with the dogs before it was packaged up and sent back!
