went out yesterday for bit recon work, sitting under a tree with the binocullars and 12 bore looking over the rape fields and farmland below ,quite a few pigeon starting to venture out onto rapebut a few came to the sitty tree i was under as its high up on the hill in a small rape field, shot 12 and 4 crow sitting there .on opening them up there was a mix of .acorns, holly berries, ivy berries and small amount of rape.could see birds flighting to a old tree next to the holly bush .so decided to head down to the wood put 30+birds out of bush and tree shot two then opened them up full of ivy berrys and holly berries.walked to a small ravine that has loads of ivy in it put up about fifty birds from the trees.seams like there still not ready to hit rape big time yet ,going to shoot ivy trees tomorrow :/ :o

As you proved, you can shoot more at the moment by sitting under the trees, than setting decoys out in the rape.

All this wet weather is really making even the late rape shoot up round here.

That could be the next problem..........the rapes too high. :o

:/
