figgy
I've had both at the same time as Browning Cynergy and Beretta 682 gold E. when cleaning the pair together you notice the differences. The browning is far better finished than the Beretta, the barrels are internally chromed better so far easier to clean and the blacking to the outside of the Browning was better than the Beretta. The Beretta fits me and balances better, shoots where I look unlike the Browning Cynergy so it was sold. Purely as a direct comparison of equal value models I think Brownings are better made, finished off and have higher grades of wood. But I'm a Beretta man as they suit me in my price range. figgy
How do members rate the new Browning 725, especially in terms of handling and trigger pulls? Doesn't seem to be much about this model on PW, though plenty of favourable reviews elsewhere. The triggers are fine and the handling is a lot more like Berettas and other Itallian guns. The dimentions are not the same though as they don't fit me like a Beretta but not far off. Don't like the Tulip forend. A friend has one and rates it highly, he shoots it better than any other gun I've seen him with. But then another friend shoots a Ceasar Guerini and likes that, both owned Beretta 682 Gold E's before changing no accounting for taste The new Black Action model looks nice, the grade fives in both hunter and sporter are a fair price but the wood dosent look grade five anymore. The guy that owned it was very willing to show me all the new "improvements" that browning have made. Apparently $20million went into designing it. He also mentioned they now do a new black anodised action. I personally like the plain sides with 725 in the corner. Foggy - you basically just said exactly what I am trying to put across... I have shot a cynergy too and find them strange some how?
Cawdor118
I would agree they are a better finished browning! The cheapest grade 5 725 on guntrader.co.uk is £3675... That's "split new" DT10 material, I know what I would out my money on!
