Lg1
Amazes me how many people go out and buy brand new decoys, take them home and pull them to bits to get them right lol... Jesus tho £20 for 3 peices of bent wire ? And can you actually get a patent on something like that haha.. Couple of twists here, couple of twists there and off to IPO it goes... The worlds gone bonkers...
FalconFN
Any stiff wire will do; coat hangers, bike spokes or thick fencing wire. FUSs are good but can be made to be better very easily.

mikesy
Hi , go to the pound shop and buy some metal tent pegs . Bend the top to form the letter S ( the S being on its side as in parallel to the ground when pegged into the earth, the bend at the top , slots into where the plastic rivet is on the fud, about 9cm down from the bend, wrap some black insulating tap round at least 10 times to form a stopper so the folding part of the fud does not slide down the peg and keeps its shape. If you want a pic, pm me , works a treat and much lighter without the heavy duty spikes.
linny
i cut the red spike thing of the fuds that i have and use a green garden cane and they wobble about in the wind if you put a bit of hight on them plus no damage to farm machinery if you lose one
