As topic really, I have just drafted a Letter to my FEO asking for AOLQ to be added to my conditions and an increase in the amount of HMR ammo I can buy/keep, I snook in a request to open the ticket as well, I'm pretty happy with the wording but does anyone have any advice on things to include to help things along.

What do others do ? Post a letter, speak on the phone or go down? It's not far so I'm tempted to go down & hand in my requests & have a chat.

Thanks Kenny m

Have a chat over the phone first regarding your request and once it's sorted over the phone tell them that you are sending your certificate into them to have it updated and will be including a covering letter regarding you conversation with all your requirements included in the letter.

I got mine back a week ago after getting an open condition and AOLQ. I spoke to my FLO when he came to renew my shotgun certificate, he said to send him an email. This is what I wrote:

Please look favourably on my request for the removal of the condition: ‘land deemed suitable by the Chief Officer of Police’ and replace it with an open condition.
I would also like to request changing/adding to the condition on my .243 to "any other lawful quarry" or words to that affect.
I feel I am suitable for the changes of these condition because I hand load my own ammunition, in reasonable quantities and are in regular use of my firearms. I have also completed a National Diploma in Countryside Management and have obtained my Deer Stalking Certificate Level 1.
