Danoi99
Baikal are very good guns. They aint to pretty but they have lots of character, I love my hammer gun. Best hundred quid I ever spent, it's tatty and yet it get's loads of interest when I shoot clays with it. 32gm no 6's give you a good whack though. Be proud of your Russian gun mate. It makes winning all the better when you have done it with a so called cheap gun. retromlc
i think the main thing here is, a Biakal is a fine gun,and a good shot will hit a lot with one, people buy nice guns to have something they want and enjoy the ownership of,regardless if they shoot better with it.I think the OP was about should he get a nice looking gun,buy what you want, I have a £4500 used Perazzi and a £145 auto,i shoot them both the same and enjoy shooting both of them,I shoot on the day what i feel like shooting regardless of the people around me and what they shoot. ChrisAsh
In a team it's the scores or Birds that count, How many people ever look close at others guns unless really fantastic wood Most wish they could shoot better rather than buy a more expensive gun Sorry lass be happy with what you have and learn the skills needed, and if you find a benefit to shooting another gun then it's a different matter
