The one chap who used to eat them has passed to the great hunting lodge in the sky. BTW my best days shooting ever was at walked up snipe. Had 12 for 13 shots. Wrapped in buttered bacon with a liberal dose of salt and pepper, roasted for 30 mins and then spread over a doorstep of toasted homemade bread.
