Underdog
Yesterday being out all day and nursing a cold left me with a bad chest and worn out today so after waiting for a fox from before light and it not showing I went home and prepped the flintlock. The wind was increasing as this storm blew in. I knew it was time to visit a holly bush I hollowed out in summer in a shallow pit hole. I knew then that it would offer shelter from any westerly winds and hold food and shelter for wandering pheasants n' all sorts. When I do pass by I throw some seed down as well to make it attractive to game. Interestingly I have not fed it for weeks so was not hoping for much. How wrong I was. Two cocks (I left the hens) and a woody. U.
