co2 noisy

Now then fellas, i recently purchased an Umerex Airmagnum 850 powered by a co2 bottle thinking it would be quieter than my old springer. But it does seem actually just as loud if not louder. Is this normal or should i have gone for a pre-charged?

I originally thought that maybe my silencer was naff but even dry firing is noisy.

with a spriger you get the noise of everything else and the spring

witha precharged you jus6t get the sound of the air chamber reliesing its air to propel the pellet(quieter)

I have no experiance with CO2 guns but I imagine they are just the same as a precharged just using CO2 as there means of propultion

a friend of mine has recently bought the same rifle and its a hell of a lot noisier than my AA S410 pre charged, tried telling him that before he bought it, but he knew best, now he wants to sell it and get a pre charged

you should hear the hw100k without the silencer, i'v heard quieter fire crackers, fgs

With it though, one of the quietest rifles I have heard. Was at broomhills the other day and I am sure that's what this chap there had. So very quiet, I was having a hard time hearing almost nothing then hearing a full power pellet smack into a target down the range.

 

Way WAY quieter than anything else I have heard.
