secretagentmole
Thanks for everyones advice! Been shooting the land for upward of a year now,but even when Im driving around and its dads turn to shoot he gets abit wary, thinking I don't know where the corners are! Its quite amusing to be honest!! Thanks! I never take a rabbit at more than 30 yards with an air gun and 80 with a rimfire, and 80 is the very most if its ideal conditions! I know theyre annoying **** but they deserve to die Humanely! Been looking into NV units and the NS50 seems like a good idea? Not that youll shoot anything more than 50 metres with an air gun anyway! Thanks for all advice! Ill take it into consideration but guns in turkey at the minute! Faulty safety catch! Josh Try this one instead, takes the NS50, sets it alight, then pees on the ashes! http://www.night-eye500.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=1&products_id=29&osCsid=sf825ju2hntlur4t2khvch90p5
TDRsniper
Lots of great advice above Josh. Add to the above.....little point on frosty nights/mornings as impossible to move silently Squeaky boots don't help Dimmers are a must have and keep the light as dim as possible...you only need to see their eyes If you don't like quality street buy your mum some flowers and choose a red plastic to wrap them in from the florist....good filter Travel as light as possible as walking with heavy kit and batteries is hard work Over all enjoy learning the field craft. N.B tried the panto horse thing on the wife and she certainly spooked??? Not sure why.

peek-at
If you are new to this game the most important tip I can give you is to blend in..... You can buy rabbit suits quite cheaply these days from the internet or old stock from fancy dress shops. Point is your quarry will just think you are just another rabbit and ignore you, so you can wander up close. Just remember, every now and then, get down and eat some grass or they may suspect something is up. Best of luck (and post some photos)
Jega
Go out before it gets really dark ,this gives your eyes a chance to get used to the light fading .Its surprising how much night vision you retain if you do this.
mark200888
hi josh i also used to have the same problem as you and turned to nv. i was thinking about the NS50 to for the same reasons as you don't shoot any greater distance than what that gives you. but i decided in the end to spend a few quid more and got the NS200, i shoot a fac air gun but i don't go much past 30 yards, but with the NS200 you can see rabbits way off out of range then stalk right up to where you need to be. a massive advantige i think
