  1. It's bloody awful! Lol Good laugh though fair play to you buddy - some people wouldn't dream of doing that to a rifle - even an SMK! It can always be an ice breaker at a club or something. Get there 'oh hi I'm such and such, what do you shoot?' 'Hi I shoot a zebra monstrosity!' Lol Good on ya buddy
  2. I've just been looking at these as an alternative to the ones on my MTC mamba as I preferred the 'pop up' style ones that my hawke scope before had. Are they really worth over a tenner per cover? So over £20 plus postage?! Just seems a lot to me? Thanks in advance Dan
  3. Il always have air rifles, although I'm looking to apply for a rimmie soon, it will always have it place in any arsenal where it's invaluable
  4. Get down to your local shoot and ask for beating for next season. This may not get you shooting tomorrow, but will certainly get you well on the way in a years time. You will certainly meet a few people who need some ratting on their farm, or forbids knocking back from attacking their livestock when lambing etc. You could also offer to help out a little during the break - there's always plenty going on at our local shoot in preparation for next season and it would certainly stand you in good stead for next season should the gamekeeper ever need anyone Dan
  5. LMAO this made me almost fall off my chair great stuff
  6. I use this. It's fantastic quality and cheap too http://bit.ly/1jLBBaA
  7. I'd agree with finding an R10 second hand and saving for a bottle, or if you head over to facebook and join the bsa r10 group there is a great little package going opfor £550 if I remember rightly
  8. I bought a hatsan striker .177 and had it about 3 weeks. Can't say it was a bad gun at the price either but bought a BSA R10 and knew it wouldn't see daylight so part ex it in the deal and got £100 back
  9. Il tell you why, these threads always end the same. With person after person coming in telling them they have no chance of getting given a perm having been here 5 mins and contributed nothing and gained no trust. They get told the same thing - to get out knocking on doors Why not read through the last god knows how many wanted threads and see the exact same text time and time again Tbh I think the wanted section is useless and a waste of space. I learned this by posting like this myself. Best thing is as above get out and ask face to face and offer your services in return maybe something other than shooting for example if your a plumber etc By all means keep your eye on the opportunities offered threads for something nearby but a good post count and showing your someone who can be trusted will still be a must. The way I had it explained to me is would you let a strange person you don't know wander around your land with a dangerous and loaded firearm?
  10. You've got a whole 3 posts too. I'm going to get some popcorn for this one
  11. no pics bullet boy but il be there soon enough and if its still there il take one - i wouldnt hold your breathe though - his stock doesnt hang about
  12. there is a gorgeous huntsman regal in at my local RFD - special stock £60 extra from daystate and its truly stunning but as above its all about the looks rather than upgrade in performance
  13. Never seen anything at doveridge il check that out thanks
