Deben Battery Charger....

Have acquired a secondhand Deben charger (black, square, plugs straight in the wall) to charge my new magnet (which arrived today so I'm currently so excited I'm like a dog with two d**ks!)

Anyone know what the sequence of red or green lights is for charging, or finished?... At the moment they are both on.

Cheers

Mine is 500mA, and does the small 1.5ah batteries I use for the flappers very nicely. Recharges them in a couple of hours.

But when I put it on the 7Ah battery that came with the magnet, about 12 hrs later it still wasn't anywhere near charged. That battery however, had only lasted round 2.5 hours on the magnet on Friday anyway, so on Saturday I went to Tool Station and bought a 12Ah one for £28.99... Then called into Maplin for the charger they recommend for their own 12Ah battery ( which is a ridiculous £40) and they gave me one that chucks out 1.5Ah.... Charged the big battery nicely in around 6 hours, and it lasted all day on Sunday.

I use the optimate charger on my 17Ah battery (that's lead/acid) an old motorcycle battery, you can't use this charger on a lithium battery

I use the deben charger on my 7Ah lithium and the light sequence is - plug charger into battery it lights up green, plug charger into wall socket light turns red, when charged light turns green.
