JDog
I have been fascinated by Quail for as long as I can remember even though I have yet to see or hear a truly wild one in this country. How a bird which seems only to be able to fly a few hundred yards when flushed can migrate to and from North Africa is beyond comprehension. Has anyone seen or heard or even shot one in the UK? Saw a pair on Romney Marsh about 20 yrs ago. You're not allowed to shoot them!
