landofficer
The guy is obviously a clay shot shot he stops the cartridges ejecting every time so he maybe thinks they are fine to shoot at those ranges, from seeing him in other vids he is a little bit angry and very dull to listen to. It's almost like a competition with him but you would be a better man by just having half a dozen shots per drive and leave the rubbish for another day Just how I see it

Alycidon
There appeared to be a lot of birds better suited to poorer shots but there were also some good birds shown. A good keeper ***** his line in the first drive then does drives to suit the average ability of the line as a pile of empty cases and an empty game cart leads to dissatisfied clients. Cant say I noticed any unsafe behaviour. What I found a bit odd is the gun talking to the camera ( Wes?) continues to knock down some pretty 'average' birds in the first drive, he must have had a dozen and none were really decent in my book yet he appears a pretty fair shot. Where is the challenge in that but I appreciate that his camera man wants to get some film in the can. Bearing in mind he is there to promote the commercial shoot and probably getting a free day then its maybe a bit greedy in my book, once he has been shooting driven birds for 50 years perhaps he will learn the error of his ways. Partridges are generally lower and slower than pheasants and it can on a normal day be pretty easy to have 8 or 10 on a peg, you just have to be selective. Put them in a big wind however and they can be almost impossible. Ironically partridge returns are always very poor due to high losses to birds of prey, he will be no different, makes you wonder how many they put down. I hope the guy does well with the shoot as I know it is some decent ground but he will have his work cut out. A A
Fisherman Mike
I cant quite see the problem....The birds are bred to be shot and shot they are! ...surely better to shoot the bird on top of the gun and ensure a clean and quick death rather than 40yds + and ***** it.? That wouldn't be very sporting would it?
Marc'y marc
The shooting show leave there self wide open to criticism, i have seen some video's on there that realy should not have been posted. Some of the deer stalking ones. There is a video for fallow deer shooting. Watch that they would not pass dsc2.
russdy
I think it makes it worse that he shoots so many on each drive. like people have said he proberbly is pressured into taking some of the shots but to shoot so many birds on each drive isnt the best
