Ridgeline Torrent Euro II Jacket

Looking at getting one of the above coats. What is the ridgeline stuff like ?

I've got the torrant 1 jacket (now disscontinued i think) but i think that it's a great, especially over the cold winter months. can get too hot at times, but that's no bad thing and tpuch wood havent had a drop of water through mine as of yet, which is good considering the wet weather weve had during the past weeks

I've a Ridgeline smock and nothing gets through it. If you are doing a lot of strenuous walking you might find they're not as breathable as others. Stood on a peg in pouring rain or sat at the side of the river they are ideal.

I've got the exact same jacket. Been cracking this season. No complaints from me.

Get it bought mate, for the money you can't go wrong, mine has served me well and I got the jacket and pants for 150 quid 12 months ago, I do agree with paul. t comments. But they are a great jacket,

I have the Torrent 2 jacket and trousers and find it very good, it keeps the water out even in driving rain. Its a nice cut too,plenty of room in the arms and a pull chords to bring it in at the bottom and waist. Make sure you order the size above that you normally wear, they are made in China and this is a usual problem with clothing manufactured there. Don't let being manufactured in China put you off, its why they don't cost a fortune but quality is very good. They are quite light but tough, by wearing different layers underneath you have a jacket for all seasons. They are pretty breathable and perform as well as jackets twice their price. Loads of pockets with a 'shooters' style detachable hood. Being a silent flock like material they do take a while to dry out after a good soaking.

Just having a look at this jacket, I'm a wildfowler and cannot decide one this one or the monsoon. One major important thing for me is are the pockets waterproof on the torrent.

All of the above is spot on! I had a Torrent 2 and now a Roar 2, both have been perfect. Left the blinking Torrent in a hotel wardrobe that magically vanished when checked for!
