GingerCat
Got a cheap and cheerful pistol yesterday, the smk xs26. Only £49 without the silly pistol scope option so I thought I'd relive my youth by plinking at cans. Very impressed with it , seems to be a modern version/copy of the old bsa scorpion, certinaly has a fair bit of power and without the cocking aid you would struggle to load it. The propaganda says just under 6ft lbs, not sure about that as I don't have a crony but it's embedding pellets into half inch of pine up to the tips of the skirts. The trigger is apparently adjustable however it's very predictable and not too light so no prob there anyway. Accuracy wise I am the most impressed, easily half inch groups at 8 yards when I do my bit and I'm sure that can be improved on. Not overly noisy really and the build quality seems good. The downside is the rear of the frame rubs my thumb on the recoil so had to adjust my grip but will tape something soft there in the future. For less than a curry with the mrs it's gonna provide lots of fun, thoroughly reccommended.
