Swanky Doodle Pigeon
I have a 687 Silverpigoen SC. I can certainly vouch for them although I'm relatively new to shooting. They are reliable, well balanced and look fantastic. Many here will advise you that it's down to personal preference, and that even though you may agree they look good you may not like the feel of it. So my advice would be to not make your mind up until you've handled a few different guns and hopefully tried a few. If you can afford to go for a Berreta make sure you at least try a Browning as well.
Andy W
I have an old 687 pre silver pigeon with 28" barells, it looks identical to the SP, mine is great and does the job well, incidentally it only cost me £500. You cant go wrong with a Beretta but go along to the shop with someone who knows a bit about gun fit, pointless buying something that you will struggle with. Well balanced good looking and hold their price. You won't go far wrong. I have a silver pig III with the optima chokes - same as the 682 gold e, which is what the V has. Short notice I know, but a few of us from our shoot are heading to Kelbrook for 11am tomorrow. Don has my mobile number if you or he needs directions, you are both most welcome to join us as are any other PW members. Andy W
do they tell you there and then or do they not give you a clue at all until you get the letter weeks after? When my FLO came to see me I already had my safe in place which he checked out first then even before he had told me that he was granting mine he rang a mate of his who was a RFD asking him what Berettas he had in stock, very helpful guy was my FLO and as I was going away the next day for a week he told me that my certificate would be on the doormat when I got back, which it was. tgb105
Hello Just to warning to everyone. I bought a Beretta Silver Pigeon 4 from Kelbrook shooting school It keeps going faulty and now it turns out that the gun is a grey import with no warranty from Beretta UK (GMK). I have owned the gun for a little over 8 weeks however have only had it for 4 of those weeks due to repair times. It has never worked properly and now Kelbrook are refusing to give me a full refund. It is probably worth anyone who has bought a gun from Kelbrook shooting school checking with GMK if their gun is a true UK model with a warranty. I even sent off the extended warranty form but when I spoke to GMK they said this wasn't valid as it wasn't a UK gun.
