nderfel
hi all, I have a permission that's a good distance away and I only get to every second week. I'd like to put some sort of feeder out that will attract the tree rats and bunnies so I can shoot them with a .22 rf, it would be useful as there are cetin areas on the permission without a safe backstop and that's (of course) where our little friends seem to congregate. What's the general advice form those that know? would this be causing more harm than good attracting vermin that otherwise might not come into the area or is this going to be an effective way of baiting them out into an area where I can control them? Is there a feed / bait I can use that will attract bunnies and squirrels? Thanks in advance Nick
scolopax
Just a normal pheasant feeder with a spiral. Maybe set it a little bit lower than normal. I would think if you are mainly concerned with fur then a letter box type feeder set close to the ground might be even better. Wheat seems to attract plenty of four legged critters to my feeders! stubby
dont know about attracting the rabbits, I've only ever used a bag of horse carrots, and they may go a bit manky over two weeks, but squirrels like cheap corn flakes, the type aldi/lidl sell
