Stealth Stalker
I got out for a few hours on Saturday with my bro in law who's never been ferreting before, we found a nice little 2 holer to start with & got an immediate result of 2 bunnys in the bag We moved on to a hedgeline that is riddled with holes all 300 yards of it, and begun netting up, I've only got 30 nets so we didn't get far, about 50 yds. The ferts were entered at opposite ends to each other, hopefully to bundle the bunnys into the middle where the nets were set. After about 10 minutes I noticed a bolt about 80 yds away, he ran all the way round saw us in the field & back netted Then all hell broke loose with another 3 bolts all nicely netted It then went very quiet for about 10 minutes then we got a bolt 150 yards up the hedge I couldn't believe the speed that the ferts were working obviously the whole hedge line was linked, I got the locator out & walked the hedge & finally found them 150 yds from where they were entered all the while bunnys were hopping in & out the holes I definitely reckon with a full squad of myself, Pin, Peltman & his ferts & nets we would have got at least 20 rabbits What you guys up to next Saturday? My bro in law had a great time & was well impressed with the ferts. Pick of the final bag, 1 doe was milky & another was pregnant is this normal for this time of year? the pelt man
Hi SS I'm peed that i had to repair the fence now but Sunday was already booked so it had to be done Saturday, as the Dog from next door kept doing a runner Yep this time of year is normal to get milky/pregnant Does In areas with plenty of cover from the elements i've had milky/pregnant Does over Christmas. It's gonna start to get harder now with the Ferrets as they will be finding nest & you will be getting the spade out a lot more from now on in I'm off Cod Fishing on Friday up Suffolk for a week, I'll leave my Nets & locator coller on top of the Caged area. Feel free to use them & any of the 4 ferrets. The 2 Hobs are fine but 1 of the gills likes to nip Its the white one . Spit on the back of your hand & offer it to the Gills the one that licks it off is OK the one that draws blood, well GOOD LUCK PELTMAN
Ferretboy111
We went ferreting on sunday, pics to follow shortly etc. Managed 13 and 5 babies, there were nests around, and 10 of the 13 rabbits were does--- all of which were pregnant. Certainly early for breeding, but there hasnt been any frosts or tough weather for them to contend with. Alex

Come to think of it you & Pin can hardly be described as able bodied Maybe we can get on it when your'e back, have a good fishing trip Pin you got them nets yet?
