Beretta06
As part of my cabinet reshuffle (I sound like the Prime Minister!!!) I am going to sell a couple of guns. One is a rather lovely Beretta DT10EELL, which should fetch around £9250 (ish). In the past, I have sold guns through a dealer, but this time I am hoping to remove the middle man! Has anyone had success selling mid price guns through GunStar etc??? Cheers B06

walt1980
Gun watch is linked to pigeon watch and is brilliant! I'd say picking the right dealer to put it in would be a big part too. That kind of gun has a small market tho, and I'd think with the current economy probably not going to be a quick sale. Having said that I'll take it off your hands for £5! Lol in all seriousness, a beautiful gun well worth it in my opinion (unfortunately not in the mrs opinion!)
HDAV
For run of the mill guns the web can help, higher end stuff I think people can be more reserved and the buyers less inclined to look online. Depends how many tyre kickers you are happy to deal with and the prospect of giving out your details etc. if its priced keenly it will sell
PhilR
I think your best bet is to let someone like Chris Potter, who you've already dealt with, sell it for you on SOR. He'll agree the amount you want back for it and he'll build his commission into the ticket price. It takes the hassle out of the sale as you don't have to deal with time wasters, or someone with a PX. The only problem is you don't get paid until it's sold. I gave him my AYA No2 side lock which was left handed and had a single trigger to sell, it took time to go but I got the money I wanted. I'd had derisory offers on a purchase basis from several gun dealers. Having said that I've sold two sub 1k guns, one on PW before Gunwatch was created and the other on it and they went within hours of the adverts appearing.
