Woodies in the wood

So, I've been keeping a close eye on these guys...

But they are impossible to decoy. One shot and they're off to the next county (or more precisely, the rape up the road). I tried again this morning, but had the same result. The odd few that came back where not at all interested in the decoys, so I packed up and walked in to the wood instead. I'd booked the day off so may as well have spent it outside?

They where few and far between, but presented some really challenging shots when they came. I finished up with 12 (and 1 over the boundary).

Nice one Tod. Thats a decent result right now. Roost shooting seems to be the only way to get a few in the bag at the moment. I'm having the same problem with them in the fields. They've got about half a dozen fields of rape to chose from all within a mile or so of each other. I can shoot over them all, but I end up chasing them all over Yorkshire.
