pigeonblasterian
Met up at 11am with three more pigeon shooters who i had invited over for a crack at some pigeons. Typical that when i plan something like this it never seems to work out. Riding round before setting up we did set up a good few pigeons off the maize. We all got set up for 1200 hrs because the pigeons are usually regular in that they start on the maize strips about 1300 hrs. Today did not go to plan and they must have been feeding elsewhere. The other three packed in at 1430hrs and went home because it was slow shooting. They still managed between them 7 wood pigeon,9 ferals,1 rook and 1 rat. I stuck it out till 1600 hrs when a tractor pulling a tanker pulled onto one of the other game strips and started spraying it with slurry. I quickly packed up as i knew i was on the next strip that was going to be done. I ended the afternoon on 7 wood pigeon and 5 ferals. A total for the day off 14 wood pigeon,14 ferals,1 rook and 1 fat rat.

Paul taylor
Not always easy is it. I sat most of day and only managed a rook and two jackdaws still happy though would have stayed longer if didn't have to pick up kids.
