new shot
Hi, Ready to invest in a night vision set up.Yukon Photon? Nite Site ns 200? Or I have been looking at starlight Nv website as I read somewhere that they were bringing out a Night vision scope below £500?.. Its mainly for 50m vermin control etc with air rifle.. If anyone has one of these set ups local to me [cm21 Herts] I would love to have a look thru as I have only seen on you tube etc and I was told that watching thru the recorder sharpens the image? Thanks.. Frazer Edited March 25, 2014 by new shot

new shot
has any one got or used the aarow yet from starlight as a ery good contender for the price Just been looking, standard model around 350 and 500 for high power ir. It looks like a good set up as you can just attach it to a scope, and its smaller than nite site. I will catch up with Brian and try his Yukon. theosmith
you may like photon but i had one and thought they were cr4p, home made stuff smashes it for distance and pic quality! but everyone likes differnt things and for me zoom is important factor
mick miller
This is exactly my point in different thread. People claim they can see 200, 300 yards with different units but in reality 300 yards should only be claimed if you can see beyond it clearly (backstop/ risk) at a useable mag. Useable mag for me is nothing less than x8 minimum. Looking at a pair of eyes at 300 yards and not being able to tell if it's man not beast on x5 mag is right beside bloody useless in practical terms. Mind you being able to tell what it is at 300 yards on x5 mag isn't that flipping useful either as the best you'll manage is a body shot at that range. No one mentions clarity either, I would rather be able to shoot out to 200 with the ability to go up to x20 mag and have a clear, non grainy image with the ability to alter brightness and contrast to suit. It goes without saying that the same goes for close in, sub 20 yard work also. Edited March 27, 2014 by mick miller
