T series transformer lights from Ludicrous lumens
new shot replied to clayandgame's topic in Guns & Equipment
I have the T75 very impressed with it, never seen a NM800 so couldn't compare. Can swap it around to suit.. Was a prompt service and Andy from Ludicrus Lumens was very helpful as I was asking loads of questions before purchase. -
A poor mans McNab - including first Roe Buck and trout
new shot replied to Mentalmac's topic in Sporting Pictures
Enjoyed reading that sounds like a great day out, would love to try something like that.. My 8 year old set me up a mcnab, 1x pigeon, 1x rabbit, 1x Rat, And a pike! Completed the first three but couldn't catch a fish.! -
Evening all, I am going to get a new camo jacket etc, I currently wear a flektarn jacket and trousers but want something not so military looking, and a better pattern etc..I know it ain't all about the camo and keeping still etc but want something new.. Question is what pattern is popular, jack pike woodland looks good or what about those Realtree HD patterns?.manly shoot in and around a wood. Thanks in advance..

Been out decaying with the Fuds but have finally come to terms that I need movement in the pattern.. What is the best flapper and rotary, not bothered about the money I just want something that will last and is powerful enough to spin dead birds if I need too. I get that there will be mixed answers but I want something decent and what's beeen tried and tested, Thanks in advance..

I have the vw Amarok, although it's never got stuck and I have had it in some poor conditions and we were all surprised it actually got thru the mud and sloops I put it thru.. But I keep looking at the Isuzu and think it could be a good choice and alternative to the Hilux Amarok and l200 etc. It tows as much as a defender too.. If I were to get another pick up it would be a Isuzu and if it it wasn't a pick up I would go for Toyota landcruiser or Mitsi Shogun.

Great write up, my daughter shows more interest than my son!

I use with great success a cheap tin of meatballs in sauce or something similar. I have tried Chocolate spread, Peanut butter but not had much interest. Cat food in gravy is ok but I use cheap tins of meatballs or things like that and find they seem to like it.

finally got chance to try out the HW 100 KT and the Yuon NV
new shot replied to a topic in Sporting Pictures
I have a HW100 kt in 177 and I have the Photon XT on it and its ok with the built in IR for my distance[ 30m rats] but I have got a Ultra fire WF-501B which works really well and will use if I go over 30m but other than that I think its good for the money. A brilliant combo in my opinion and has made night time pest control a whole new sport for me. The only issue I had was zeroing it as the rectile in zero mode is white only. -

Quietest (from user's perspective) Hushpower shotgun?
new shot replied to Thunderbird's topic in Guns & Equipment
Hi, I have a pedretti 410 hush power single shot,it is very quiet and as it's got a fully moderated barrel it's probably the quietest along side the newer version of it which is built off a Yildiz.. I also have the 20G o/u hush power which is no way as quiet as the 410 but still pretty good.. I love the 410 but I find myself wanting the extra shot. I have not had a go on the pump version hush power in 410 but if I was getting one now I would probably go for the pump for extra shot. I was thinking about seeing if Hushpower would build me a O/U410 with a fully moderated barrel like my 20 g as it would give the extra shot and would still be quiet as it would be fully moderated.. I use Hushpower carts but they are hard to get but I find whatever 410 carts I use they are all pretty quiet but subsonic obviously a bit quiter. Lots of people home load and get good results but that ain't for me. I would say go for the single barrel yildiz or secondhand pedretti if noise is more important than shot quantity but if noise isn't the biggest issue I would say go for the 3 shot pump they do look good fun!...good luck -

Happy New Year All.. I am having issues Zeroing in my Photon XT. The reticule is white when its in Zeroing mode and its hard to find the right back drop to enable me too see it etc. I used a dark piece of timber and then I cant see the pellet impact point. I am sure there is a sensible simple way but although I am not far away I just cant get it on the spot. I am ok Zeroing my normal daytime scope as its a lot clearer but NV is new to me so I have had some issues. Shall I fit a Bi-pod to the rifle would that make it easier? Its a HW 100 in 177 for those of you who are wondering.. Any suggestions will be appreciated thanks Frazer....

That's 3 months ish.. Long time but it's better than the 8 months I waited.! Mine is pretty good but without trying another tuned one I wouldn't no what's best but I am still going to get mine staged 2 tuned by them
-
I have had my hw97 tuned and i sent it to a guy who had it 8 months!..be careful as I thought he had run off with it. It made a difference the tune I had but I have seen sandwell's on you tube and they look really smooth. I am now sending it to Sandwell field sports for a full tune up. I would send it to a shop like them and Tony the guy who tunes them even called me for a chat which was re assuring. Just remember there is a few guys who do it from home etc who I am sure produce good work but my experience tells me to deal with a shop. Good luck..

Nice looking Rifle..and good write up. happy Christmas..

I don't mind mind paying the £15.00 but it just annoys me that they didn't even offer and its a product they sell and make money from. But Thomas Jacks were very prompt on returning another unit which really is all I wanted. and also when the people I got it from tell me its a budget NV scope, yes I get that its a entry level thing but it's still £400 and and there should be some customer service. But enough of the Rant at least I have a new Scope and I can now start to enjoy some night shooting Vermin.. Happy Christmas
-
Yes I agree but I could feel the situation getting heated and I was desperate to just get one what worked. But yes is should have been Kicking off with them about it. However I am still going to send an E mail to them telling them of my disappointment and the fact I have had to pay postage costs etc..

My Yukon Photon was eventually sent back after the screen going green again. I spoke to The shop I got it from and they wasn't to helpful and told me that I had to speak to the importers and they wasn't prepared to send me a replacement as they had to check mine first! So I new straight away that it could be a long process if I dealt with the shop and I would end up in a argument and as the shop is far away from me I couldn't speak face to face to them. I contacted the Importers Thomas Jacks and posted it back to them at my cost £15.50 and they sent me a replacement out which I received yesterday. So hopefully this new one will be ok and I wont have any issues.. I must say that I was glad I dealt with the Importer who was very understanding and appreciated the fact that I had spent £400 and just wanted a scope that works how it should. And if I would have gone down the route of the shop I got it from I doubt I would have received a replacement this side of Christmas.. I am £15.50 out of pocket but at least I have my scope and I can enjoy using it now..
