Brad93
Hi all. I've promised my girlfriend I would take her dad to do a bit of clay shooting this weekend, my first thought was bisley which is pretty local, however I've had a look and the "pay and play" is only open from Tuesday till Friday not weekends. Are there any small clay shoots in the area? The only other one I know across the bridge is in dartford. aris
How close is close? I know the Chertsey area fairly well - there is a hay baler at Richlings Park - near Heathrow. Ive never been, but you can get info here: https://www.facebook.com/RichingsParkClayPigeonClub For something more organised, you can try Headley - not far from Chertsey: http://www.headleyclaypigeon.com If you don't mind taking a little drive, you can go to Richard Faulds place: http://www.owlslodgeshootingschool.co.uk I'm sure there are others. The A1 at Borehamwood, only 5 minutes from the South Mimms Services on the M25. 10.00 until 6.00pm Wednesday through Saturday, 10.00 until 2.00 on Sunday. And this Saturday we have the Helice ZZ have a go day for something very different and special

Brad93
Hi guys thanks for the info. My girlfriends dad lives in chertsey, so can't really drive all the way around the M25 for a bit of shooting.
OJW
There's a clay pigeon shoot in Effingham, Surrey. The Surrey sporting club. They are very friendly and shoot on every other Sunday. www.surreysportingclub.co.uk. Its set up along some woodland with about 12 stands if I remember correctly. Has a bit of a DIY feel to it and does get busy so won't be as leisurely as a stroll around the pay and play at Bisley. I think Bisley's long siberia pay and play is open to shotgun certificate holders only. Not 100% but worth checking. If your Mrs's dad doesn't have a cert they might not let him shoot it, every time I go they check my certificate or if with others the certificates of everyone in the group. OJW
P.S Chertsey is about 20mins from Effingham I think, they show the dates they shoot on the calendar on the website. You might get lucky and a date could co-inside with when your planning to go. They also loan out guns for £15 if he wants to borrow one. Or at least, have done in the past. Hope that is of some use. jimbo9t9
I'm looking at going to Effinghan this Sunday or Lea Mills. Haven't been to Effinghan so be interesting to see what it's like myself. Will say if wanted to make it an experience you can't really go wrong with Headley really friendly shoot and a BBQ
