  1. My mates a plumber and swears by potterton. That's what he recommend fort place and I can't fault it.
  2. Some over taking is done in the most pointless situations or on hills and that winds me up but when you have to be in certain parts of the country at certain times or have to be at a certain place for your 40 minute break and if you don't get to that truck stop in time and go over your driving time you get proper fingered by VOSA, then overtaking that other lorry and getting a move on may safe you 20 minutes and all that time adds up. I think people just need to be more patient on the roads we all have somewhere were going
  3. With everything you get good and bad drivers, cars, lorrys, buses etc etc but go and drive a lorry or even just be a passenger in one and you will see it from a whole different perspective.
  4. Lane discipline is a pet hate off mine, been driving cars and riding motorbikes for the last 16 years and now going through the process of my class C. The amount of times I've been going around the M25 and some numpty has sat in the outside lanes doing 50-60mph for no reason that's what causes accidents, if the n/s lane is clear use it don't just sit in the middle.
  5. I got myself a investarm for £115, stripped it all cleaned all the wood up and re-oiled it and I totally love it.
  6. Can't stand bullies, hope the bloke can pick himself up.
  7. Does anyone know if there is a clay shoot this year? Tried looking on the website but nothing is mentioned.
  8. That looks good and you can't argue about the price.
  9. With the stripper I went to tool station and got a bottle called paint panther worked a lot beter than notromors. With anything prep is the most important part.
  10. Was very impressed with the kit and was easy to use and the instructions were easy to follow, the wood has come up quite light so maybe should of stained it before oiling. But overall was impressed.
  11. It's a investarm 20g, got it cheap as it was tatty so thought I would give time tlc. So far it's coming up well.
  12. I've just stripped my stock and have steamed the dents out etc etc, have ordered the napier kit. Should be here tomorrow so will let you know how I get on.
  13. P and H motorcycles is very near by and it has a nice layby out the front with a pizza place to grab some food etc
  14. I have spent many an hour trying to shift broken locking wheel nuts, i would recommend using a long breaker bar with a fair amount of pressure (note bought so it doesn't slip off) and while your applying the pressure get some one to whack the socket with a brass mallet. Has always worked but can take a little time but when your working with expensive wheels you don't wanna be risking it with a chisel, but if it's that stuck that may be your final option.
  15. I really like the cens but were out of my price range (I know you can't put a price on your hearing) in the end I went for some pro shocks while I was at the avalon open day last year. Can not fault them can wear them all day and not know they are there. I believe their website is www.proshock.co.uk
  16. Keep up the practice it will soon all click into place
  17. My last boots were musto shooting boots leather/gortex and they are like slippers, very warm waterproof and have a full size zip to get on and off easily. But you do need to proof them regularly to keep them waterproof.
  18. I haven't got a pair but the little lady indoors does and all she complains about is how cold they are, the new ones are made in China so may not be the same quality.
  19. Alright all, this is my air rifle for sale. Am open to all reasonable offers or swaps for a 20g or poss a 12g semi.
  20. Chatting to a medic today and he said the stuff is great but if possible use the stuff that is built into the bandages as you don't have to scoop it out, but in all fairness if it's gonna save your life it's all good. Didn't know that some of them are made of crushed prawn shells.
  21. SP services is a very good website they sell everything.
  22. I have one of these for the dog, the best tick remover I have ever used
  23. It's something I would keep in my transport all the time and will be close enough if out shooting, I know it does sound a bit extreme as I think shooting is a very safe sport but there is always that what if factor in the back of my head, personally I think everyone should do some sort of basic first aid training it's those vital first minutes waiting for the ambulance that can actually save someone's life
  24. Cheers guys for your input, SP services was a web site recommended.
  25. Luckily work put me through a lot of training but am looking into a little more
