matt fieldcrafter-uk
I had the fortune to be offered shooting on peas last year and it was incredible !! My lad lives with his mum so I rarely have him on days the pigeons are available , so it's allways the same for him "you should have been here last week we shot 102 of this field " usualy sat in a hide with nothing happening ! Possibly I'm wrong but just seemed peas where a dead cert of a days shooting ? Thanks for thinking of us guys !!

Peas are just the same as any other crop we shoot over , if the birds are there and you get in the right place at the right time you can have a good day , if they are not there then you will not , they are not a magic crop for pigeon Last year the shooting on peas here was awful to say the least , if I could only choose one thing to shoot over it would be rape stubble . Couldn't agree more. Peas aren't some wonder crop, like some people would have us believe. In fact, I've probably shot more good bags on winter rape than peas. I shot next to nothing on the few pea fields I had to shoot last year. Like you, if I had to pick a crop that I think would be most likely to guarantee pigeons, it would be rape stubble.
