Have you not got any mates with 223 that you try their factory ammo? Also can you swap the scope off one of your other rifles, to eliminate scope, then as Kent said try with mod off to eliminate that

theres a guy local,remy1100 off here but dont really know him,im gonna swap scopes,like i say as soon as i can get some 30mm rings,the bullets ive been using are premium bullets(so i was told)........appreciate everyones help here..

an update on my zeroing issues,after remmy 1100 gave me some soft points to try the gun seems to like them,and on reading the paperwork that came with the mod,it seems the atec cmm4 doesn't like 55gn plastic tipped bullets and the scope was just fine,thanks to all who had input in my original post,rifle now groups a lot better.............DAZ

Where have you read about the mod not liking Ballistic tips? Can't see that, as the cmm4 is a hunting mod and most hunters use ballistic tips in 223

glad you got it sorted mate,suprising how much different bullets can be,always worth trying as many different types as you can to see wich works best.i still try new rounds now and again to see if I can improve on grouping...
