Mark56
I thought I'd just show off my new toy - a Caesar Guerini Magnus Sporter, 12g 30 inch barrels, picked up from A Branthwaite Gunsmiths in Cheadle Hulme - excellent service, and a thoroughly nice bunch of guys. It's my first shotgun, so I'm very happy with it!
jimmyb79
Wow that's some nice wood! I bought one last year in 20b but the wood isn't anywhere near as nice as that.

I'm guessing it's the luck of the draw with these things. This one was recently imported (tested on the 16th April, in fact), so maybe they're improving quality all the time? super sharp shooter
They do have nice wood. I've just come back from stockcraft in stoney stratford after looking at the Apex model and the wood was superb, but I need to shoot one before I make the commitment. Mark56
Thanks for the kind words, all. Very happy with it. Even if you dont hit anything your going to look and feel awsome doing it with that ! ATB Matt Well, you'd be surprised! This cost £2195 - one of the reasons I got a CG was that everyone goes on about their value for money, and that you feel like you're getting a gun worth at least a grand more... jimmyb79
Here's mine, not the best pic. It does have nice wood, but it as nicely figured as yours. Lovely guns and great value.

As the others have said, the wood is stunning, did you get to pick the wood or is that what they sent ? ATB Matt

I must say, I do prefer the grip on the game version - very classy - but since this'll be mainly busting (or missing) clays, I went for the sporter. That's a nice bit of timber Mark Cheers! As the others have said, the wood is stunning, did you get to pick the wood or is that what they sent ? ATB Matt That was the luck of the draw, Matt - I knew I was going for this version of the gun, but not what the wood was going to be like. I imagine it's possible to specify? Or at least look at a range? If you're interested, it might be worth calling the shop (Braithwaites are the biggest UK dealer of the CGs, I think) since their service is excellent, and they seem frequently in touch with their suppliers.
