Bewsher500
anyone owned both?how different are the actions?could the stocks be interchanged (even with some work or effort?)
welshwarrior
I'm sure the finfire has a shorter action that can't handle the likes of wmr HMR so from memory and at a guess I would the quads ejection port at the very least will be longer and that will effect the stock in this area. You could probably make it work if you really must. What's wrong with the original stock?
kent
One was available as std length LR action (finfire) the other (quad) is a magnum length action that can feed LR size with packers. This sort of rules out easy stock swaps besides any other inletting issues. IMO the finfire was the better gun but I shouldn't go out my way to buy one now for its expensive and getting harder on bits by the year (magazines and the like), a cheap minter might still be attractive though they usually fetch good money
welshwarrior
Finfire was a real gun made of metal wood quad has plastic not a fan shoots straight but I like metal work on my guns.
Bewsher500
beacause I can find a finnfire wood stock and cant find a quad wood stock appears with some inletting a finn could be turned into a quad!
welshwarrior
Yes I think you could fit a finfire stock onto the quad thought you'd be going the other way.
