dunnin21
Im think of a shogun sport like the look of them and heard there quite reliablie. Fuel economy isnt a factor, have a jimny atm and want some thing with more room. Has any one got one that could tell me what there like and tgings to check when buying Thanks Andy
Andythompson
Just my personal experience but here goes. Owned my 05 plate shogun sport warrior for just over 3 years, bought second hand with just under 50k on the clock. It's been absolutely superb, all I've ever done is put diesel in and carried out the scheduled services. Comfy interior with nice leather and a cracking heater! I've Got a set of all terrain tyres on and it's got me out of every sticky situation I've had it in, snow/very muddy mud and still reasonable for 200+ mile motorway drives. Yes it's poor on diesel, I average 24-25mpg, and it's quite unrefined to drive in comparison to newer pick ups such as the Navara but show me a truck for the money which is better and I will eat my hat! Hope this helps Cheers Andy
Andythompson
P.s buy upto a 05 for cheaper tax. I pay £280 a year, I think 55 plate and newer are over £400 a year to tax Andy

V8 90
I have 1 - an 07 in Black with Black windows Full leather interior - does everything I ask of it & as above all I do is service it, add fuel & drive it - Road Tax is £490 but it's only an extra £5 a week so doesn't bother me - I'm either having a Range Rover Sport or an Audi Q7 next - it's for sale if you want it - FSH 68k miles. It averages 28 MPG Edited May 12, 2014 by V8
al4x
The only downside if you can call it that is they are the older 4d56 engine as fitted to bucket loads of shoguns and l200's slightly unrefined but pretty reliable. For the money they make they are a bargain, no way I'd pay that much road tax for an 07 though
Sussexboy
We have a 2002 3 litre V6 version. That does about 25 mpg on a run, but only about 18 mpg knocking round the doors. Much quieter and smoother than the diesel Sounds nice when you give it some stick as well. Had it 7 years now and not had to spend too much on it, but it is now getting to the stage where I will have to. It has taken us the length and breadth of the country, through snow, mud and floods and has never missed a beat.
