Simon123
Thinking of adding a new clay gun to my collection, but want to try the odd 1 or 2 out before making the decision. So, does anyone know of a gun shop in Wales, (could cross the border i suppose) which i could have a try of a gun before purchasing??? Advice would be much appreciated Thanks, for all the held/replies in advance.
HDAV
Sportsman Newport used to let you try guns at treetops, not so sure know treetops have added a gun shop. Most will by prior arrangement let you. It's the Avalon open weekend today/tomorrow at mendip shooting ground but more of a trek but lots to choose from! Simon123
Try haylett grange in Haverfordwest, very helpfull and knowledgable. Been down haylett, great guy to deal with (actually do quite a bit with him tbh). seen a nice 525 with him, and will hopefully be trying it out with him in the next week or two, but unfortunately he doesn't have any 2nd hand beretta 686/silver pigeon's in stock (rarely sees them coming in), there fore i can't have a try of one before buying. I have my heart set on a Beretta but due to not shooting one much before would like to try one out before buying, i may not get on with it, so he doesn't want to let me loose with a brand new on off the shelf for obvious reasons. HOPE THIS MAKES SENSE!!! Been informed from a member on here about Ian Coley Guns. i know it's a little far to travel (130 miles each way) but he has many demonstration guns and a huge selection of second hand + a try before you buy service. anyone had any dealing with this shop??? HDAV
Coleys do have a good selection but prices are not the most competitive at least the sticker price isn't buy they have to pay for the nice shop etc. There are a few places along the way worth a look so why not make a weekend of it? Not sure if Lampeter have try out facilities?
welshwarrior
Not sure when I'm heading to Castlemartin again to see the family but if get down soon I'll chuck a 686 in the car and you can have a shoot with it if that helps.
bullet boy
I always like South and West Country Sports in Kenfig Hill. If you wanna spend a day out then Sportsmans in Exeter is the place!!Really good IMO!
