Hi Kent , John weighed it he does not tell porkies. Pic does not give true look at weight but if fresh as this one is sealice on fish can see 1 few inches from tail bet he is a fat one. If they have been in river a good few weeks then they get a lot slimmer this fish in 2 to 4 weeks would loss at least 2 lb . Caught 1 myself 2 years ago 161/2 lb looked about 13lb to 14lb till i weighed it, when fresh they are solid mate. atb Terry

That might be so but his scales might or its one heck of a big reel he uses. I am well used to them I was a river keeper and Bailiff on two big NW gamefishing rivers and have fished them through North and South Wales and North west England for many years, I have like many seen deformed fish that weighed more than their length and depth but never yet in seatrout or Salmon

I'm not getting in an argument about this fish. He said 12lb so thats good enough for me.

My Late father Haydn Lewis was a keeper on the dyfi or Dovey as others call it as was my late grandfather Jackie Price was even shot while working as a keeper.

I fished the Dyfi for many years catching more fish than i know, should not have. Caught more double figured fish than i would like to remember. I made a good living out of caught seatrout and salmon . Which i now feel guilty about was not right. Other fishermen moaned that i must have been fishing unfair foul hooking etc to catch so many. I packed up fishing at about 22 years of age and told them to stuff the river where the sun don't shine. Fish again about 6 years ago catching my limit with ease seatrout and salmon. Then packed up 2 years ago back hurting to much. So you not the only one that has fished for seatrout and salmon. Have fish with Dyfi legends likes of Harold Roberts, Glen Robert,George Roberts Arthur Humphries who still has the record seatrout for the Dyfi think 24lb and many more who have appeared in the trout and salmon over many years. atb Terry
